Investment Management Review (IMR), concentrates on the publication of strategic information and analysis that is of relevance to key decision-makers of fund management organisations across the globe. It benefits from having distinguished figures in the investment industry on its advisory board. A network of international specialists in different aspects of the industry has been assembled to contribute to research and writing.
Founder, Editor and Head of Research – Dr Arjuna Sittampalam
Funds managed by Dr Sittampalam excelled during the 80’s and 90’s achieving top performance in both global bond and equity league tables. In 1986, he won the ‘Fund Manager of the Year’ title awarded by the Bowen Group.
He was the founding editor in 1994 of Funds International and has acted as consultant to leading financial institutions in the US and EU. He has written articles for several publications and organisations, including the Financial Times, Financial News, Financial Weekly and EDHEC. In November 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Wincott Foundation prize for his Professional Investor contribution, the official journal of the CFA Society of the UK.
Dr Sittampalam has written several books, including Coming Wars in Fund Management, Evolving Techniques in Fund Management, and Corporate Governance Activism – Desirable Doctrine or Damaging Dogma? He also acted as editorial advisor to the authoritative industry body EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association) that representing all fund management companies in the European Union, in the publication of their first-ever Fact Book.
Consulting Editor – Mark Clement
Mark Clement has over 25 years’ experience working in Fund Management and Investment Banking spanning roles in Front, Middle and Back Office as well as technology development. Prior to his current role managing a Quantitative Middle Office and Business Architecture team he has worked at Bankers Trust, J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs in London and New York. He has a broad and in-depth awareness of both the theory and practice of derivatives and structured products.
Noël Amenc – Noël Amenc, recent Director of the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research Centre and currently CEO of ERI Scientific Beta, is Professor of Finance and Director of Research and Development at the EDHEC Graduate School of Business, where he heads the Risk and Asset Management Research Centre. He has a Masters in Economics and a PhD in Finance and has conducted active research in the fields of quantitative equity management, portfolio performance analysis and active asset allocation, resulting in numerous academic and practitioner articles and books. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Alternative Investments and a member of the scientific advisory council of the AMF (French financial markets authority).
Richard Granville – Former member of the London Stock Exchange Council, former partner of Hoare Govett and a former director of investment trusts managed by the UK groups, Framlington and Rathbones.
Paul Griffiths – Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Interest and Credit at First State Investments (UK). He has held positions as Global Head of Fixed Income at Aberdeen Asset Managers Ltd and Credit Suisse Asset Management, as CEO of AXA Investment Managers UK and as a director of Investec Asset Management and head of their Fixed Income division. He has won the ‘Investment International Fixed Interest Fund Manager of the Year’ award in 1996, 1998 and 1999, and runner-up in 1997, whilst at INVESCO Asset Management.
Dr Wolfgang Mansfeld – From 2002 to 2005, he was the President of EFAMA. Until June 2011, he was on the Executive Board of Union Asset Management Holding, the holding company of Union Investment Group, Frankfurt am Main. From 2007 to 2010, Dr Mansfeld was the President of BVI (German Investment Funds Association). From 2004 to 2011, he was a member of ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) Consultative Working Group on Investment Management.
